Tapeless Privacy Policy

Tapeless converts old camcorder video files on your iPhone. It is built to be
private by default, and the honest summary is: we don’t collect anything.
What Tapeless does with your data
- Your videos never leave your device. All conversion, preview, and
thumbnailing runs locally on your iPhone. Tapeless makes no network
requests and has no servers.
- Photos access is used only to save converted clips into your Photos
library (add-only access; Tapeless cannot read your existing photos).
- Files access is granted by you through the system file picker when you
choose a card folder or clips to import. Tapeless reads only what you
select. The “clear card” feature deletes only the camcorder files it
imported, and only when you ask it to.
- On-device settings (your free-conversion count, whether you’ve
purchased the unlock, and preferences like the date-stamp toggle) are
stored in the app’s local storage on your device.
What Tapeless collects
Nothing. No analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifiers, no accounts,
no crash reporting, no personal information.
Purchases
The one-time unlock is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store.
Tapeless never sees your payment details. Purchase state is verified with
Apple’s StoreKit on your device.
Changes
If a future version of Tapeless ever changes any of the above, this policy
will be updated before that version ships, with the effective date bumped.
